# Command menu (⌘K) and My commands

> With ⌘K you assign, resolve, move stages or find a contact without leaving the keyboard. In My commands you save several steps you repeat as a single command.

watsi's **command menu** opens with **⌘K** (on Mac) or **Ctrl+K** (on Windows). From there you assign a conversation, resolve it, move it to another stage, create a contact, go to any page or search for a contact or a message, without touching the mouse. And in **My commands** you turn the steps you repeat every day — for example, resolve and go back to the inbox — into a single command.

## Keyboard shortcuts

| Shortcut | What it does |
| ------------------- | ------------------------------------------ |
| **⌘K** / **Ctrl+K** | Opens the command menu |
| **⌘/** / **Ctrl+/** | Shows every keyboard shortcut |
| **⌘I** / **Ctrl+I** | New internal note in the open conversation |

Inside the menu, move with the arrow keys, pick with **Enter** and close (or go back one step) with **Esc**. Commands ending in "…" open a second step to pick a value, such as who to assign.

## What you can do from ⌘K

Type in **Type a command or search…**. Commands are grouped like this:

**Current conversation**
With a conversation open: **Assign to…**, **Remove assignee**, **Escalate to a human**, **Turn
the AI off / on**, **Move stage…**, **Change status…**, **Resolve**, **Mark as unread** and
    **Block contact**.
**Create**
    **Create contact…**, **Import contacts…**, **New conversation…**, **Create agent…**, **Create
quote…**, **Create command…**, **Send template…**, **Schedule appointment…** and **Add to
    knowledge…**, among others.
**Go to**
Any page you see in your sidebar: Chats, Contacts, Campaigns, Calendars, Integrations, Settings
    and the rest.
**Search**
If what you type isn't a command, you can search for it in contacts or in messages.

You only see the commands your role allows you to use.

## My commands

**My commands** saves a sequence of steps you already do by hand — resolve, move stage, assign — and runs all of them from ⌘K. Everyone has their own: nobody else on the team sees your commands.

### Open My commands
Go to **Settings → My commands**, or type "Create command" in ⌘K.
### Create the command
Click **New command** and give it a **Name** (for example, "Close as VIP"). If you want a
starting point, use **Start from an example**.
### Add the steps
Under **Steps**, use **Add a step…** and pick commands from the menu. The ones that need a
value, such as assigning, stage or status, ask you to pick it. A command can hold up to 20
    steps.
### Save it and use it
Click **Save command**. From then on it shows up in ⌘K, in the **My commands** section.

> **Warning**
A command's steps run in order and can't be undone. If one fails, the command stops there and
tells you which step it reached.
