# watsi notifications — bell, push and email

> How watsi notifications work on the web and in the app, which alerts exist and how admins choose whether each alert goes out by email or push.

Source: https://docs.watsi.ai/en/team/notifications

watsi tells you about what needs your attention — a new prospect assigned to you, a booked appointment, a conversation that needs a human — in three places: the **bell** on the web, the notifications screen in the **mobile app** and, depending on settings, by **push** or **email**. Admins decide under **Settings → Notifications** which alert reaches whom and on which channel.

## The bell

The bell sits in watsi's top bar. Open it to see the **Notifications** panel with the latest alerts; each one shows whether it was also **Sent to phone** or **Sent by email**. Messages from the same contact are grouped into a single row.

- **Seen:** opening the panel resets the bell's counter.
- **Read:** clicking an alert marks that alert as read and takes you to the right place.

Both marks are stored on your account, not on the device: what you saw on the web shows as seen in the app and vice versa.

While you work, new alerts also pop up as **live notifications** in the top-right corner.

## In the mobile app

In the [watsi app](/getting-started/mobile-app) alerts arrive as push notifications on your phone and are also on the notifications screen (the bell on the **Assistant** tab). A push only arrives if the person has the app installed and is signed in on their phone.

## Choose which alert reaches whom

> **Note**
The **Notifications** settings tab is only visible to owners and admins (whoever can edit
  workspace settings).

Under **Settings → Notifications** you'll find:

- **Team notifications** — "Choose how each notification reaches your team". For each alert you check **Email** and **Push** separately for **Admins** and for **Members**.
- **Funnel alerts** — notifies when a prospect enters a funnel stage where the agent turns off, the moment your team must take over the conversation. You pick the stages that trigger the alert.
- **Conversations & billing** — **Balance alerts**: which channel we use to warn you when conversations run low.
- **Push devices** — who on the team has the app installed (**Registered**) and who doesn't (**No device**), so you know who won't get a push.

For **Appointment reminders** you also choose how far ahead the reminder goes out ("Send the reminder … before the appointment").
