watsi needs Google Calendar connected for you and the AI agent to book appointments: when you connect it, watsi creates a "Watsi" calendar in your Google account and writes every appointment there. If an appointment type includes a video call, each appointment gets its Google Meet link. watsi doesn't read your other Google events as busy, so the times you don't want to offer are closed with blocks.
Connect Google Calendar
- 1
Open Calendars
In the sidebar, open Calendars. If it isn't connected yet, you'll see that a Google Calendar connection is required.
- 2
Connect your account
Click Connect Google Calendar, pick your Google account and accept the permissions. You can also connect it from Integrations, on the Google Calendar card.
How it syncs
- watsi creates a separate calendar called "Watsi" in your Google account and writes its appointments there, instead of using your main calendar.
- watsi does not treat your other Google events as busy time. To close a time, create a block.
- If you move a watsi appointment in Google Calendar, watsi tells you the time was changed in Google Calendar and lets you update watsi or revert.
- Invite to calendar shares the calendar with other people, with free/busy-only, see-details or edit-events access.
Google Meet
In the appointment type, turn on Video call → Include Google Meet link. Every appointment of that type is created with its Meet link, whether the agent, your team or the booking page books it. Customers join the meeting without having to ask for access.
If the Google Calendar card in Integrations says the Meet permission is missing, reconnect your account so the links can be created.
